Pocket sewn to 1 piece of lining

ZIPPER TABS

Press the remaining Fabric C rectangle 2½˝ × 9˝ in half lengthwise, wrong sides together.

Steam press 2 strips of ½˝-wide fusible interfacing inside the pressed strip, with 1 piece on each side of the pressed centerline.

Tab Tip

It is better to use 2 pieces ½˝wide rather than 1 strip 1˝ wide to help the tabs fold neatly.

Press each side edge of the Fabric C strip over the fusible interfacing.

Fold the strip in half lengthwise. It should measure ⅝˝ wide.

Topstitch ⅛˝ from both 9˝ edges.

Cut the strip into 2 pieces each 4˝ long.

Fold each 4˝ piece in half to create the zipper tabs.

ATTACHING TABS TO ZIPPER TAPE

Pin a folded tab directly behind the zipper head on the 18˝ zipper. The raw edges of the tab will align with the outside edge of the zipper tape.

Pin the other folded tab 14˝ away from the first tab, measuring from the inside edges of the tabs. The second tab should be on the opposite side of the zipper tape, so that one tab is on one side of the tape and the other tab is on the other side of the tape, as shown.
